I am a Montréal-based artist working across photography, collage, and installation that plays with the female gaze, sexuality, desire, and intimacy. I am interested in the tension between simulated connection and physical presence, and in imagining forms of intimacy that are provocative, genuine, and transformative. My photographs are sensual, grounded in friendship, trust, and the pleasure of witnessing one another. Working in familiar spaces, I dance in the boundaries between the private and the personal, asking what becomes possible when we make ourselves vulnerable to being seen. Throughout my practice, I recontextualize bodily experiences to consider what is lost, transformed, or made possible through their digital mediation. My practice is a gentle confrontation of my visual and emotional desires: an attempt to understand the conditions under which I have learned to want, while making space for a sexuality that is curious, unruly, and my own.
